According to Meadow & Kenoyer (2001), the town of Harappa occupied an area of 25 hectares and was built on top of mud-brick platforms which were elevated to form the foundation. The town structure was such that there were large buildings used for public services, houses for the locals, craft shops as well as those centers allocated for trade.

The reason for the defeat of the Union army was that their numbers were not only a few, but they also were not well prepared. This is because the Confederate army advanced in such a way that blocked them from moving. This made it impossible for them to fight, and due to the Confederate’s large army, the retreat was the only option. This teaches us several lessons, which include the fact that while numbers are important in war, the tactical organization will win a war more than numbers.
