Rape crime and sexual violence against children and women continues to be a significant social problem worldwide and US. Additionally, reports indicate that rape crimes are rampant and skyrockets during summer months of July and August during midnight hours on weekends and 18 hours weekdays than on winter seasons. Weapon use in rape crimes are rare cases accounting to about 10 percent only. Rape crime trend and frequency is directly related to the population density of the cities. For instance sexual offenses occur mostly in medium sized cities, then rural areas, while only a third of these offenses occur in metropolitan areas.
