Students Nonattendance Essay - Students’ nonattendance is a problem that extends much further than the school. It affects the student, the family, and the community. Truancy has been labeled one of the top 10 major problems in this country's schools, negatively affecting the future of our youth (Epsten, et al 2002, 28(7), 7-15.).
In fact, absentee rates have reached as high as 30% in some cities. The statistics speak for themselves. According to the literature, about 2,775 primary pupils and 4,624 secondary students played a part in truant behavior at some point in the county last year (Morgan, 2003).

Eisenhower signed into law an agreement to have the CIA train Cuban refugees to overthrow the Cuban government. President John F. Kennedy rejected a plan to land the dissidents in Trinidad and “the CIA suggested a new area, the Bahia de Cochinos, Bay of Pigs” (Weeks 124). This led to the Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961 but it did not succeed.

Assessing a child’s language and communication abilities is very instrumental in deciding what kind of programs to use in helping such children to cope with their disabilities (Gambell & Yang, 2003, p. 19). These programs should aim at assisting the child to improve on his or her language abilities and further focus on improving communication with other people.

Social Security Fund Investments Essay - Social Security funds are especially invested in federal securities and in long-term bonds. However, in 1997, there was a government advisory panel proposal that required that some of the revenues should be invested in bonds and stocks in order to generate higher earnings.
Although this seemed a good idea, the panel was highly divided over the decision of whether the money was to be invested by individuals or the government. There was a disagreement on the money which was to be shifted from government bonds.
