However, the two friends stand on the polar ends in terms of their personalities and behaviors. Charlie has a passion for becoming joining the New York mafia but he declined to do so for the fear, that he would lose his friend sip with Jonny who was a wreck-less person. Eventually, besides sacrificing his career, Charlie sacrificed his own health, when he was shot by one of the creditors who Jonny had failed to pay back their money. Charlie is obliged to remain royal to Jonny not only because he is a friend but also due to the fact that, Charlie had intimate relationships with Johnny’s cousin.
