Essay: Interpersonal Distrust after Imprisonment

Sample Essay

Despite the fact that interpersonal distrust is observed in both sexes just immediately after imprisonment, it psychologically appears that males are more affected by it. Gadd and  Farrall (2004, p. 61) indicate that more women admit that they can easily trust those that that might have in one way or the other contributed to their incarceration while men would choose to keep distance from such individuals.

This psychological impairment of mind servers male ex-cons with a disadvantage of accepting to work in organisations relate in whatever way to such individuals. This distortion hinders these individuals from trying to access employment opportunity with fear of falling in to trouble again. Women enjoy a psychological advantage, as they are not trapped by such feelings strongly as it is with men.
