Federalists refer to the political leaders who supported the creation of a federal government in the history of America in the process of America revolution. They are the people who contributed a lot to the creation and ratification of the American constitution since 1787. Among them are William Pitt, George Washington, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, John Adams, and Benjamin Franklin among others.

Anti-Federalists

Anti-Federalists refer to the political leaders who were against the creation of a federal government in America. They supported the Articles of Confederation and they locked horns with the federalists in the process of creation and ratification of the America constitution. This group mostly comprised of the labor class from the rural areas and some of their leaders in history include Patrick Henry, George Mason, Samuel Adams, and Robert Yates among others.
