Essay: Diseases in South Africa

Sample Essay

Many patients in South Africa are suffering from chronic illnesses, and they simply cannot receive any proper treatment due to expensive costs, lack of medical materials, and attentions (A Closer Walk).

The current primary and secondary preventions campaigns evidently failed to prevent The HIV/AIDS transmission but also the progression of those infected.  Several anthropologists have argued that such failures can be explained as a form of “structural violence.”   For example, it is not the words or brochures that these frightened patients need, it is justification of clinical errors, fair distribution of medical care and drugs.  The educated and the elites have taken advantage of the poor patients who have travel over twenty clinics just to be told that they are non-compliant.
