The Italian High Renaissance represents a significant movement in art history has contributed considerably to the growth of art as a whole. Michelangelo, Da Vinci and Raphael formed the trinity of prodigious masters of the Renaissance period. Their works greatly contributed to replacing savagery with civilization, despair with happiness, ignorance with knowledge, tyranny with liberty and disease with health.

They gave the world an imperishably stunning view of life, a vision which was lost from Europe for over a thousand years.  For instance the work of Michelangelo, born in 1475, in numerous ways celebrated the Western principles of loving humanity and the world. In particular, his art reflected a renaissance of the underlying basis of Greco-Roman art.

Michelangelo’s David sculpture figure (the biggest piece of sculpture in Italy from the time when Rome came into being) is a remarkable hero, with seamless proportions that proudly asserts the beauty of the human body and power and glory human beings. Da Vinci born in 1452 made important contributions to the world of science and art. His love for life and thirst for knowledge made him a quintessential Renaissance man during his time.
